Dipped

When I was 11, I created a colored pencil drawing of a chocolate-covered strawberry, a simple yet iconic subject. Three years later, I came across the piece and decided to recreate it with the techniques I had developed since then. More than any other artwork, this piece taught me patience. Every seed and every glossy highlight on the chocolate coating required careful attention to detail. In the end, all of those small details came together to create something I was truly proud of.
